Brookdale is situated in the Paarl Wine Valley. Brookdale has exceptional wine blends that include unique varietals rarely found in the South African wine landscape. Brookdale is set against the majestic backdrop of the Klein Drakenstein mountains.

The estate has a restaurant, and tasting lounge, curated by the renowned Gary Coetzee, promising culinary adventures that tantalize the senses. Guests can enjoy tasting experiences that not only satisfy their palates and also enrich their minds.

Brookdale's wine collection showcases lesser-known grape varietals sourced from Portugal, Italy, and France. Kiara Scott Farmer is the winemaker, who employs unconventional techniques to craft captivating blends. A delightful lunch awaits at the Bistro, where menus feature locally sourced, seasonal ingredients bursting with flavor. The tasting room offers a warm and inviting space for guests to gather over a glass of wine, surrounded by vineyard vistas. The experience includes a delectable lunch and a wine tasting that leaves a lasting impression.

The Helicopter Wine Safari is a unique experience that includes lunch and wine tasting.

To ensure a seamless experience, a minimum lead time of 48 hours is required to secure landing permissions on the estate.

This experience includes a private helicopter flight from the V &A Waterfront to (approximately 25 minutes) Brookdale (approximately 25 minutes). The ground time is 2-3 hours. This completed adventure is a 3-4 hour experience.

Cape Town Helicopters reserves the right to return the helicopter to the base if operational requirements dictate.

Important Information

Check In Time

Please check in 30 minutes before your scheduled takeoff time. This allows us to complete weight checks, conduct the safety briefing, and issue your tickets. Once checked in, you can relax in our waiting area, capture some great pre-flight photos, and soak in the atmosphere before your adventure begins.

Photography Tip

For the best photos, we recommend wearing darker-colored clothing. Light colours, especially white, can reflect off the windows and affect your shots—so dress dark for that perfect picture! We do not have an on-site photographer.

Seating

For all sharing flights, seating is assigned based on weight and balance, which is determined during your safety briefing and ticketing. If you prefer to choose your own seats, you may book an Exclusive Flight by purchasing one additional seat—guaranteeing you the best seats in the house.

Weather

All flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are not suitable for flying, we will make every effort to reschedule your flight to the next best available time. For your comfort, please note that the temperature in the sky is the same as on the ground, so dress accordingly.
