Lourensford Wine Estate

Enjoy a part of proud Cape history when you set foot at Lourensford, one of the world’s most beautiful wine estates, established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, today owned by renowned businessman Dr Christo Wiese. The pilot will let you enjoy a visual feast and panoramic views of the wine estate’s 4000 hectares of forest, fynbos, fruit orchards, and vineyards, which rise up against the slopes of the Helderberg mountains, en route with Cape Town Helicopters, to Lourensford Wine Estate.

The Lourensford Wine Estate, a popular tourist destination, offers scenic splendour, a winery, restaurant, coffee roastery, an art gallery, and much more. Visitors are tempted by an array of choice experiences ranging from wine tasting and winery tours, roasted coffee at the Coffee Roastery, or a variety of freshly baked cakes, quiches and muffins from Red Riding Hood Deli.

End your day at the Lourensford Wine Estate with an Italian-inspired meal and a glass of Lourensford wine at the Millhouse Kitchen.

Please note: All tastings, pairings, refreshments, and luncheons are for your own account.

Important Information

Check In Time

Please check in 30 minutes before your scheduled takeoff time. This allows us to complete weight checks, conduct the safety briefing, and issue your tickets. Once checked in, you can relax in our waiting area, capture some great pre-flight photos, and soak in the atmosphere before your adventure begins.

Photography Tip

For the best photos, we recommend wearing darker-colored clothing. Light colours, especially white, can reflect off the windows and affect your shots—so dress dark for that perfect picture! We do not have an on-site photographer.

Seating

For all sharing flights, seating is assigned based on weight and balance, which is determined during your safety briefing and ticketing. If you prefer to choose your own seats, you may book an Exclusive Flight by purchasing one additional seat—guaranteeing you the best seats in the house.

Weather

All flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are not suitable for flying, we will make every effort to reschedule your flight to the next best available time. For your comfort, please note that the temperature in the sky is the same as on the ground, so dress accordingly.
